About us

The Swiss Bio Grid is an initiative of national scope that will support large-scale computational applications in bioinformatics, biosimulation, chemoinformatics and bio-medical sciences by utilizing distributed high-performance computing, high speed networks, massive data collections and archives, as well as the necessary software tools and data integration capabilities. The Swiss Bio Grid goal is to establish a value added collaborative platform focused on solving key scientific challenges of life science.

Representatives of the collaborator institutions will form the steering committee (initially a.i.), which oversees the project plan. The project plan will be developed by competent members of the collaborator institutions (project team).
